Putin’s missile strike kills Ukraine teen kickboxing champ as she runs for shelter


Kickboxing champ Karina Bakhur was just 17 when she died in the Russian missile strike on Ukraine as she was running to a basement shelter in her residential building

A teenage kickboxing champion has been killed as she sought shelter during a missile strike ordered by Vladimir Putin’s forces.

Tragic Karina Bakhur, 17, died in hospital after missile strikes on a residential area in Berestyn, in the Kharkiv region. The young Ukrainian had been running to a shelter in the basement of her residential building when she was hit.

She was taken to hospital, where she died. She was the current European champion in “Cossack duel”, as well as Ukrainian champion in kickboxing, and a Master of Sports of Ukraine in kickboxing, according to reports.

She had travelled widely in Europe attending competitions representing her country. Putin is known for his love of martial arts but now his forces have killed an innocent teenage star who also competed in karate.

A police source said: “As a result of the hits, a 17-year-old girl was wounded and died in a medical facility while receiving aid.” A tribute said: “A very young, beautiful, strong girl, [she] had her whole life ahead of her, but now she is forever 17…Karina was killed by Russia, cruelly, late at night, launching missiles at Berestyn.”

Puin’s latest deadly bombardment comes as he reportedly prepares for war against NATO after Russia was hit Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces Wieslaw Kukula warned that Russia “has begun the period of preparing for war. They are building an environment here intended to create conditions favourable for potential aggression on Polish territory.”

General Kukula said Russia was currently engaged in “a pre-war situation – or what we refer to as hybrid warfare.” He was quoted as saying: “The enemy has begun preparing for war.

“He is creating a certain atmosphere here aimed at undermining public trust in the government, in key structures such as the armed forces and the police, as well as creating conditions favourable to potential aggression on Polish territory.”

Estonia’s foreign minister Margus Tsahkna raised the alarm over a ticking clock until Russia’s military directly threatens NATO states.
