Epstein victims’ lawyer demands full criminal inquiry & potential PROSECUTION for Andrew after King axes Prince title

ANDREW must now be the subject of a full criminal inquiry, a lawyer for Jeffrey Epstein’s victims has demanded.

It comes as disgraced ex-duke Andrew was dealt a humiliating blow by King Charles yesterday as he was stripped of his royal style.

The King, 76, also revealed he was reducing his younger brother to Andrew Mountbatten Windsor – and booting him out of the Royal Lodge.

Scandal surrounding paedophile Epstein and sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre has brought Andrew, 66, to his knees.

But calls for Andrew – struck from the Official Roll of the Peerage this morning – to be the subject of a criminal inquiry are now ringing out.

Lawyer Spencer Kuvin, who represents Epstein survivors, told The Sun: “It is a step in the right direction that the crown has see fit to strip Andrew of all titles.

“The next step is a full criminal inquiry and potential prosecution for his actions.

“Sexual abuse of minors has, for too long, been accepted by the population of both the US and the UK.

“People need to see that no matter how wealthy or powerful you are, if you commit abuse, you will be held to account.”

Allegations about Andrew’s connections to paedo financier Epstein – who died in jail in 2019 – have plagued the former prince for years.

Ms Giuffre, who took her own life in April, sued Andrew in 2021, claiming she was forced to have sex with the Duke on three occasions when she was a teen.

Andrew paid his accuser – who he claimed he had never met – an estimated £12million in an out of court settlement.

He has always vehemently denied all accusations against him and any wrongdoing.

Ms Giuffre’s brother last night insisted Andrew should be “behind bars” as he hailed his late sister’s “extraordinary courage”.

Sky Roberts echoed Mr Kuvin’s calls for a criminal enquiry.

Fighting back tears, he told BBC Newsnight: “It’s not enough, we have to have some sort of investigation that goes further into this.

“I mean he’s (Andrew) still walking around a free man.

“I commend the King, I think he’s doing an amazing job as a world leader, setting a precedent, but we need to take it one more step further: he (Andrew) needs to be behind bars, period.”

Sky’s plea for action came after Buckingham Palace last night issued a bombshell statement – dropping the axe on Andrew’s future as a royal.

The Palace said it was starting the formal process of removing the ‘the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew’ after a febrile few weeks.

Sending shockwaves across the world, the statement said: “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

“His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.

“Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

It means Andrews will no longer enjoy his titles Prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, Baron Killyleagh, nor the style ‘His Royal Highness’.

He also loses his Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Victorian Order.

Daughters Princess Beatrice, 37, and HRH Princess Eugenie, 35, retain their titles in line with King George V’s Letters Patent of 1917.

The move has, however, left their mum, Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, 66, out in the cold and making her own housing arrangements.

It comes after The Sun on Sunday revealed emails showing he had lied in his ‘car crash’ Newsnight interview in 2019.
